Clay Master

One of the Jedi Masters of Clay Animation - Thomas R. Smith has been lending his animation expertise to the 'Political Cartoon' working the claymagic (not trademarked!) on the faces of the characters.

Tom is a regularly contributing animator on both 'Robot Chicken' and 'Moral Oral'. He was also on 'The PJs' when I was a Lead Animator on 'Gary & Mike'

Dig the oldschool surface guage being used as a model mover for one of the props.
His style is fluid and creamy. Seeing the shots he animated this week all cut together was truly inspiring!

Tom is the man! I've had the pleasure of working with him on several jobs- first met him when we were both struggling to deal with the cgi lifestyle at Disney on "Dinosaur". Not only is he a great animator but he is an amazing sculptor as well! You are lucky to have him on your team Tennessee!

It looks like you are in tight with a wide lens, which is such a cool look with miniatures...but the access looks dicey. Tom is a great animator.
Many of my setups looked like that with the manfroto head glued to the stage...goood shite!

Yep LOVE the manfrotto 410 geared head!!!
Bolt that sucker to the set and it ain't goin nowhere!

That is a 15mm Nikor lens...such a beauty and gives a fantastic image.

Tom is a trooper for putting up with the access...belive me the final image was worth it!
Someday you will all get to see it...
